Audacity & Action

This will be my 27th read. And as little as that number seems, it tells me how often I have shown up here. 27 times. I’ve sucked up fear, probably edited drafts, and had sleepless nights to turn a piece out while juggling being a full-time hustling Nigerian. Hi Techie! This isn’t our typical intro but a stunned human is editing this piece.

Consistency is like a drug. A hard pill to swallow. The hard and bitter truth many run away from. Yet so effective and sustainable, that many run from it. But I dare say you can consistently do nothing. Your consistency can be futile if it isn’t laced with the right action and end goal.

If you told me I’d casually have over a thousand dollars from a job two years ago, I would have never believed it. I had a stereotypical mindset that you had to gradually climb up the career ladder and be middle-aged before earning six figures. But now, it’s not a goal because we now understand the value and assets we have and can give.

I find myself always being the youngest on most teams I work with yet you can call me the powerhouse. Some might say the most effective and delusional mate. I dream big. I dare to question little. Because why settle? Recently, I sent coldmails and dms to the CEO and MDs of top internet service providers like MTN and the likes requesting for 100 routers and you bet, I will seal that deal. Delusion, action, and faith generate crazy faith that gives confidence to enter rooms that have no choice but to favor you.

It’s a new month. Don’t you think it’s time for something different? Something bold. Something HUGE. Maybe it’s time to stop giving in to fake humility and lying to ourselves. It is not enough. And it’s okay if you want more. If you want more, do more. Stop running from the hard stuff.

Life happens when you get up and make things work. Life happens when you realize it is in your hands. What do you want? Do you even believe you can? And if you don’t, do it regardless. It’s time to bring and end to the repetitive cycle of average and mediocre.

Get up! And make life happen.
