Get it Together

Hi there! Can you believe it’s July already? Welcome to the month I turned 20 (*mental fireworks*). I am super excited to see how July plays out. It’s the second half of the year and it has been amazing so far. Of course, it hasn’t been void of its setbacks but the W’s are more than the L’s. I’ve missed writing to you so sit back and let’s gist.

I’ve never been this excited about a month. I blame my birthday but I am grateful for every baby step I’ve taken. 20 seems like a very big age with a weight of responsibility but I am excited to tread this new path. Every step I’ve taken spontaneously like this read and my very first read and my first edition of my newsletter. I am grateful. I would be lying if I knew we’d come this far. And it’s all scary but I am excited and energized to do more.

In the midst of doing more, it can also get very overwhelming. Feelings of not doing enough and being pumped to know what comes next and that’s quite normal but we need to pull ourselves together and find purpose in the midst of it all. Knowing your why and understanding what you were made for will be a core when the tough days come.

I’ve had days I was completely clueless as to what to do. I couldn’t quite make sense of everything but I held on to my why. Why do you do what you do? Use this as a yardstick to track your progress and get some sense of self.

When things get shaky, check your cores and draw strength. For me, I do this by taking breaks to reflect, and bond with myself and family. Everyone needs time out, Tech will always be here so take a breather and enjoy life while you can. Life is a lot as it is but there’s always beauty in the midst of it all. Quite random, I’ve been anticipating Rema’s teased song. I can’t wait to vibe to it when work chokes. And that is something I can’t wait to experience.

So, what do you do when tech overwhelms you? Do you cry like me? Or give up? Have you ever thought about your why? Do you have a safe space? Take a deep breath and know that all will be well as long as you don’t stay stagnant. July is blessed already!

Till we meet again, talk soon!
