It’s a new month and we have about 8 months left for real impact. It comes with some sort of pressure and maybe anxiety especially if you haven’t quite made the most of the year. You’re not alone but the good part is we’ve been given another opportunity. And this time, we’re not giving room for shyness. It’s time to be vocal.

I should call 2023 my year of audacity. I did things afraid. I had huge dreams and looking back now, I should have dreamed bigger. Audacity afforded me the opportunity to create my reality. Maybe all you need is audacity. It’s time skilled and qualified people started tooting their own horn if not, you will lose.

The art of speaking up is crucial for one’s growth. I started with LinkedIn and trickled down to Twitter and it flowed. I want you to instantly sense quality and professionalism when you check out my profiles. Building a brand isn’t done in a day, it takes a lifetime but you need to start somewhere. You can’t attract global opportunities if you aren’t positioned globally.

Speaking up requires strategy. You need to think strategically to get your voice heard. It starts with Why you? What value do you have to offer people that is linked to your niche? How can you creatively brag or talk about what you do without being so obvious? You need to find your brand voice and how you communicate your value.

It’s also okay to be afraid at this point. But don’t let the results of the future shape your now actions. What ifs just remain what ifs but you can create your reality through actions. So, think through what you want, where you’re at right now, and how you want to get there.

It’s a new month, a blank sheet of opportunity. It’s time to clean the dust bunnies on your profile and get to work. Speak up!
